A travel sized tube of Apicare Rich Day Creme was included in the Apicare travel pack that I received as my Day 20 gift in the Beautiful Christmas 2016 Advent Calendar.
The description of Apicare Rich Day Creme on their website is as follows: “Designed to deliver superior moisture to dry and mature skin, leaving it optimally hydrated. This anti-aging formula contains anti-oxidant Vitamin A and Vitamin E, UMF 15+ Manuka honey, rich nourishing plant oils and hyaluronic acid. All combined to create skin that is more nourished, smoother and looks more youthful. Helps protect naturally against premature aging. Suitable for use both day and night.”
Unfortunately, I found this Day Creme to be far too rich for my naturally oily skin, and the consistency of the cream made me perspire around my nose and mouth after application (even on a cool, rainy day). I did find that it worked better for me as a night creme and I continued to use it every night, instead of in the mornings. It still made me perspire a little around my nose and mouth and I don’t know if this was from the rich consistency or if it was a reaction to a certain ingredient in the product.
Sadly, I’m not a fan of this Day Creme. It is designed for use on dry and mature skin, so my skin oily skin type and this product do tend to clash. However, if you do have dry skin, I’d definitely recommend that you give it a try. Just because it didn’t work well for me doesn’t mean that it’s not a great product or that it won’t work well for everyone.
Apicare’s products are available online and from selected pharmacies. If you’re keen to try Apicare’s products but don’t want to commit to full sized tubes, they have a travel set that contains a few luxury minis.
