I bought a 250ml bottle of The Body Shop’s British Rose Shower Gel when I was last in one of their stores. The splurb on their website says, “Awaken your skin with the irresistibly dewy scent of roses. Our cleansing shower gel is infused with the essence of hand-picked roses from Britain to make showering feel blooming beautiful. Our roses are grown organically on a farm in Herefordshire, England, where they’re infused in fresh mountain water to create our pure rose essence.”
The translucent pink shower gel has a lovely delicate rose scent, and the soap-free formula lathers up wonderfully on a shower pouf or loofah. The scent lingers very subtly on the skin after rinsing the shower gel off, and it cleanses skin leaving it soft and supple.
The Body Shop’s British Rose shower gel is not tested on animals, but it does contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS), Parfum or Fragrance, Linalool (another fragrance ingredient), so if you’re avoiding SLS or have very sensitive skin, I’d recommend you purchase one of the small travel-sized bottles first, or ask for a sample, in case you have a reaction to this product.
I would repurchase this shower gel, as the rose scent is beautiful and feminine without being overpowering or artificial, it lathers well and cleanses gently without stripping the skin or leaving it feeling dry.
British Rose Shower Gel is available from The Body Shop stores or online.
