Inside the sample pack that I received were five 3ml sachets of the following products: Foaming Facial Cleanser, Oil Balancing Charcoal Purifying Gel Cleanser, Super Greens Detoxifying Facial Scrub, Oil Balancing Charcoal Anti-Pollution Facial Masque, Hydrating Day Cream with Rosehip Oil, and here’s a brief review of each of the samples.
Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser is a gentle non-drying cleanse to remove impurities, leaving skin feeling soft, clear and clean. It contains chamomile, aloe vera, witch hazel, green tea, macadamia and evening primrose oils to purify and balance the skin. This cleanser is suitable for all skin types, especially oily and sensitive skin.
The clear gel foams well when a little water is added and is has a fresh, clean, herbal scent with the smell of chamomile and witch hazel coming through. It cleans well without leaving skin feeling dry or stripped.
Sukin Oil Balancing Charcoal Purifying Gel Cleanser This gel-based cleanser is enriched with bamboo charcoal to purify and balance the complexion. It contains bilberry, white tea and pomegranate, which provide the skin with antioxidants and vitamins to the skin, while chamomile, aloe vera and cucumber soothe the skin whilst cleansing.
Moringa and coconut extracts assist in keeping the skin clear of impurities, while rooibos and willow herb may assist in guarding against breakouts. This cleanser is suitable for oily to combination skin types.
I’m not sure what the cleanser looks like in the full sized packaging, but the first time I used the sachet, the gel came out clear, which I thought was surprising as I had expected it to be grey or black from the charcoal. The second day when I used the rest of the cleanser, the clear gel was streaked with black, so I don’t know if it separated slightly in the sachet.
Again, like most of Sukin’s products, it has a herbal scent but this one was quite subtle. I found that this charcoal cleanser worked much better on my oily skin than the Foaming Facial Cleanser, and I’d definitely recommend this cleanser if you have oily skin.
Super Greens Detoxifying Facial Scrub Made with micro jojoba beads and ground bamboo, this detoxifying facial scrub contains a blend of kale, spiraling, chlorella and parsley, pineapple, licorice and lime peel to gently polish the skin, removing dirt and impurities, while promoting a clear, radiant complexion.
The gritty white cream scrub has clean, almost sweet scent, and it worked wonderfully. I’ll definitely be purchasing more of this facial scrub, and it’s suitable for all skin types.
Oil Balancing Charcoal Anti-Pollution Facial Masque Bamboo, charcoal, rooibos tea and willow herb attract impurities, helping to keep pores clear. Bilberry, white tea and pomegranate promote a healthy glow by imparting antioxidants onto the skin, while rice powder assists in balancing excess oil production.
The light grey paste was easy to apply to a damp face and neck, and after 15 minutes, it easily rinsed off with warm water and a wash cloth. I’d definitely recommend this anti-pollution facial masque to anyone with an oily to combination skin type.
Hydrating Day Creme with Rosehip Oil This intensive moisturiser contains rosehip oil and pomegranate to help combat dry skin and prevent the signs of premature aging. Kakadu plum, which is naturally rich in Vitamin C, helps to leave skin looking radiant, while a blend of active botanicals leaves skin feeling smooth and hydrated.
This Day Creme is suitable for all skin types, and even though I have oily skin, I found this white cream with a herbal, almost peppery scent to be suitable for my skin. It was non-greasy, it absorbed easily and is definitely hydrating. If you do have very dry skin, Sukin recommend applying their Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil to your skin before applying this moisturiser, for extra hydration.
