Essie Nail Polishes come in a wide variety of up-to-date, fashion-forward shades with whimsical names to match. The award winning formula promises flawless coverage, outstanding durability and a chip-resistant finish.
The cute, square, clear glass, Essie embossed bottles show off the polish colours perfectly and make displaying them in my nail polish rack a breeze as they line up nicely (unlike oddly shaped or completely round, ball-shaped bottles). The white lid on the bottle is the perfect length and shape to make painting my nails a comfortable task and the formula is just perfect; not too thin and not thick and gloopy.
I have two Essie Nail Polishes, being “Shelter Island” and “Over The Top”. Shelter Island is a beautiful, bright, sky blue and Over The Top is a dramatic, metallic, midnight grey with a hint of shimmer that is very similar to China Glaze “Black Diamond”.
I find the applicator brush a little on the skinny side and I have to use 4 or 5 strokes when painting my nails (especially my big toes) but after a little practice, I’ve gotten my technique down and can get the colour on perfectly in just two thin coats.
I’d definitely recommend Essie Nail Polish, as I find that it lasts longer than most other traditional lacquer brands and Essie are always updating their colour range.
For best results, pair up your colour choice of Essie Nail Polish with a good base coat and Essie’s Good To Go Top Coat (its quick drying).
Essie Nail Polishes are DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free and are available from Farmers, department stores and online.
