Carmex Classic Moisturising Lip Balm comes in a white jar with a bright yellow screw top lid. The balm is a pale yellow colour in the jar, but appears clear on the lips and has a similar consistency to vaseline (petroleum jelly).
It contains both camphor and menthol to soothe severely dry lips and these ingredients give it a minty smell and slight tingle when first applied. The smell and tingle does go away after a few minutes.
Other ingredients added to Carmex Classic Moisturising Lip Balm are petrolatum which acts as a long-lasting water barrier and lanolin which helps to retain and lock in any moisture. This product does not contain an SPF and can be a bit messy to apply, as you need to dip your finger into the jar to apply it to your lips.
Blistex Moisture Max lip balm is in a handy squeeze tube applicator with a screw top lid. In the tube, the balm is a pale blue colour with darker blue soft melting moisture beads. These soft beads dissolve instantly upon application and the balm turns clear.
Containing shea butter, coconut oil and aloe vera to hydrate and soothe, these ingredients also give the balm a wonderful smell and slightly sweet taste.
Blistex Moisture Max contains an SPF15 and protects against sun and wind burn, while leaving lips feeling soft, moisturised and protected.
It contains shea butter and Hydra IQ to protect from dryness and provides long-lasting moisture. The sleek packaging makes it easy to apply and it is small enough to pop into a pocket, desk drawer or briefcase.
