I got a refill tube of Moisture Mist Translucent Face Powder refill on a buy two, get one free sale recently. All Moisture Mist products are being discontinued at the end of 2019, and are available while stocks last.
I already had an empty powder tub (different brand) that I could empty this refill into, so it was easy to use. Moisture Mist Translucent Face Powder has an ultra-fine silky texture, and it helps to minimize the visibility of fine lines and pores, while absorbing excess oil. Being translucent, it doesn’t alter the colour of my foundation in any way, but simply sets it perfectly.
I prefer to apply loose powder with a fluffy powder brush, as I find that I get a better overall finish. This is purely personal preference, and I tend to reserve the use of powder puffs and sponges for compact powders.
Moisture Mist Translucent Loose Powder is suitable for all skin types. It has a very delicate scent, which does not linger on the skin. However, this powder does contain talc and zinc oxide. Zinc oxide is a sunscreen ingredient that can cause white flashback in flash photography.
Sadly, I discovered most of Moisture Mist’s products too late (in the months leading up to the discontinuation of the range), but it’ll be interesting to see what products Shiseido bring out to replace this range.
