A 25ml luxury sample of Dedicated to Nature’s “Nature’s Summer” Gradual Glow Tanning Moisturiser was the Day 5 gift in the 2017 Beautiful Christmas Advent Calendar. I’m not 100% sure if Dedicated to Nature have rebranded so that their company is just called “Nature’s” but all the packaging seems to have changed, but the web address is still the same.
This gradual tanning moisturiser is natural, organic, and vegan, and nourishes the skin, while building up a gradual, even, natural looking tan. I applied this tanning moisturiser directly after my shower (after exfoliating), but found the passionfruit and guava fragrance to be a little odd. Yes, it was better than a stinky self-tan smell, but the strange fruity scent was a little weird, too.
The nice thing about this gradual tanning moisturiser, is that there is no drying time, so I didn’t have to stand around for 10 minutes waiting for anything to dry before getting dressed. I could just apply the tanning moisturiser like I would any other moisturiser, then get dressed and not have to worry about stains on clothes. I found that this gradual tanning moisturiser worked best for me if I used it for two nights in a row, and then used a normal body lotion or body butter on the third night, before exfoliating again on the fourth day, and started with the tanning moisturiser again. This meant that I had a natural looking tan that wasn’t too dark, and didn’t look orange or fake.
The tanning moisturiser was easy to apply with my hands, and any excess just washed off with soap and warm water. I also scrubbed my wrists, nails and cuticles with a nail brush after each application, just to prevent the tanning moisturiser from staining my nail polish, cuticles or inner wrists.
