A full sized tub of Nudi Point’s Black to White Teeth Whitener was the day 7 surprise gift in the 2019 Beautiful Surprises Advent Calendar.
I just have to share Nudi Point’s description of their product from their website: “Let’s admit it … We all want that beautiful Hollywood smile, but who has the money to pay for those expensive (and intrusive) teeth whitening procedures? Well, now you can whiten your teeth NATURALLY, as well as strengthen your gums, remove toxins from your mouth, and absorb bacteria, to give your teeth that sparkling white glow you’ve always wanted. Made with 100% natural activated coconut charcoal, this product will impress you (and those around you) with how well it works.”
Packaged inside the white plastic tub is the very fine (black) activated charcoal powder. Instructions on the tub say to gently dip toothbrush into powder and brush as usual. Rinse thoroughly and then brush with toothpaste. Use twice daily.
Now, I’m not to keen on using this twice daily, or even twice weekly for that matter, as this is an abrasive product and I don’t wish to remove the enamel from my teeth. There’s no scientific proof whether using an abrasive like activated charcoal damages tooth enamel, but I’m not prepared to take any chances. I’ve been gently using this product once a week, and even then, it does help to remove any coffee or wine stains from my teeth.
One thing no one tells you about an activated charcoal tooth whitener is that it’s extremely messy to use! You will find flecks of charcoal powder all over your bathroom, especially if it’s white. This stuff gets everywhere, and it also sticks in your toothbrush, making the base of the bristles look black.
Well, needless to say, this large tub of activated charcoal is going to last for ages … Years in fact. I currently have a love/hate relationship with this product. I love that it’s natural and that it does help to whiten my teeth naturally, but I hate that it’s so messy to use. Although, in saying that, practice makes perfect, it does get easier to use the more you use it. Just a quick tip, tap the toothbrush on the side of the tub before you lift it away, to knock off any excess charcoal powder back into the tub, and prevent it from going everywhere.
