I bought Skinfood’s “All about the Body” bundle pack, and in it was a tub of Skinfood Body Butter, as well as their exfoliating scrub, mud & honey body bar and cleansing body bar. Now, I’d read many glowing reviews about this body butter, and couldn’t wait to try it for myself.
Skinfood’s website describes the product as a “Luxurious all over body butter for replenishing lost moisture, with manuka honey, coconut, avocado & macadamia nut oils, mango & cocoa butter, Skinfood Body Butter has ingredients that really penetrate the skin and restore its glow.”
It’s packaged in a 250g screw top tub with a little plastic leak protector that sits on top. The first time I used mine, I threw the protector away, as I didn’t really want the hassle of having to lift it up each time I wanted to use the product. I’ve taken the tub away on holiday with me since, and experienced no issues with leaking.
The body butter has a really nice, thick, really luxurious consistency, but it isn’t so thick that it makes it difficult to spread, or to be absorbed by the skin. I think Skinfood have made the consistency just perfect! This luxurious body butter is made with manuka honey, coconut oil, avocado oil, macadamia nut oil, mango butter, shea butter, cocoa butter, and has a delicious, almost good enough to eat, mango-orange scent.
I like to apply this body butter directly after a shower, and it leaves my skin feeling wonderfully pampered and moisturised. It is definitely my favourite body butter, and I will be recommending it to others, and will be repurchasing more in the future.
Skinfood products are available online from their website, or from supermarkets.
