Skinfood Exfoliating Scrub is a natural based, paraben free facial and body exfoliator that contains no artificial colours or fragrances. With a very faint, natural lime scent, it can be used by both men and women.
Packed with natural ingredients like cucumber extract, Manuka honey, Aloe Vera, Sweet Almond, lime and walnut shell, this thick paste comes in an easy-to-use white and green flip-top squeeze tube, so there’s no screw top to drop and it’s great to travel with.
Comparing this product to the last facial exfoliator that I tried, I found the paste to have larger exfoliating particles than St Ives Ageless Skin Apricot Scrub, but it’s definitely not has harsh as the original St Ives Apricot Scrub. The Skinfood Exfoliating Scrub left my skin feeling smooth and soft, but there was a bit of a waxy feel on the skin after rinsing, which I didn’t like as I have naturally oily skin. As the scrub is meant to be used on already cleansed skin, the waxy feel does last for a while. While this is not ideal, I did try the exfoliator again before cleansing and by doing this, it did remove the waxy feel.
Out of the two, I personally prefer the St Ives Ageless Skin Apricot Scrub, purely because there’s no waxy feel and the particles are a lot smaller and more gentle on my skin. I would recommend that others try the Skinfood Scrub, as it is a great product, it’s just a matter of personal preference whether you like the final feel of it on your skin and it is possibly wonderful for those with dry or combination skin types.
I prefer to use Skinfood Exfoliating Scrub on my body and not on my face. It makes a wonderful body scrub and I don’t notice any waxy residue on my legs.
Skinfood Exfoliating Scrub is available from supermarkets, selected pharmacies and online.
